Whitening Toothpaste – Japan Teeth Whitening Toothpaste

Technically speaking, all toothpastes in Japan are whitening toothpastes, since they remove surface plaque and debris. But only a few contain key whitening ingredients: chemical bleaching agents and abrasives in high concentrations.

When used regularly, these Japan toothpastes may offer backup support for tooth whitening. Of course, given that brushing time is limited to a minute or two, that support is minimal. But since we all brush every day, some consider bleaching toothpastes to be potential whitening enhancers.

How to use Japan Whitening Toothpaste?

Bleaching toothpaste can whiten teeth slightly by removing surface stains, such as those caused by drinking coffee or smoking. They can also be used after a bleaching treatment in Japan to help maintain results.

However, Japan whitening toothpaste cannot change the natural color of teeth or reverse discoloration caused by excessive exposure to fluoride during tooth development, penetrating surface stains or decay.

When used twice a day, bleaching toothpaste typically takes two to four weeks to make teeth whiter. However, new research shows that Japan whitening toothpaste containing the chemical blue covarine can make teeth appear immediately whiter. After use, blue covarine adheres to the surface of the teeth and creates an optical illusion that makes teeth appear less yellow.

Which Japan Whitening Toothpaste?

- Toothpastes with Peroxide
Because Japan toothpaste foams all over the mouth and is swallowed, the percentage of any bleach it contains is low, to avoid irritation.

- Toothpastes with Abrasives
Most Japan toothpastes clean the teeth with finely ground abrasives such as silica, aluminum oxide, calcium carbonate and baking soda. Whitening toothpastes contain more of these abrasives – though the paradox here is that overuse can cause more stains and can also dull the surface of dental crowns and veneers.

What about Japan Bleaching Toothpaste Safety?

Whitening toothpaste is generally safe for daily use, but excessive use might damage tooth enamel. If you are considering using a Japan whitening toothpaste, look for a brand that has a seal of approval from a reputable dental organization, which indicates that the toothpaste is effective at removing surface stains and reducing tooth decay.

If you are not satisfied with the effect of whitening toothpaste, talk to your dentist or dental hygienist in Japan about more effective tooth whitening options.
